And the Beast Goes On

Bestiality and other Fetishes Signal a Civilization in Decline

The Bible clearly teaches that the further an individual uncouples himself from Judeo-Christian values, the more depraved he becomes. Sadly, we’re seeing this playing out more and more in the world we now live in. Deviant sexualities no longer just apply to the LGBT community. Activists are now pushing for the normalization of pedophilia, with powerful globalist institutions leading the way toward achieving these goals.

But if you think humanity couldn’t sink to new lows of depravity, you’d be sorely mistaken. Bestiality (also known as zoophilia) is also on the rise, along with other interspecies fetishes that go way beyond the pale.

Symptoms of a Godless Society

Themis Matsoukas, age 64, a professor of chemical engineering at Penn State University, was recently arrested for having sex with a collie dog in a parking lot near Rothrock State Forest. A trail camera in the parking lot captured the footage of Matsoukas in April and May earlier this year, and he was accused of indecent exposure, masturbation, and sexual contact with a dog. Moreover, Matsoukas tried to capture footage of his bestial act on his own cell phone. Indeed according to the investigating authorities, he has been engaging in these activities since 2014. “I do it to blow off steam,” he told investigators, and in a moment of apparent contrition confessed, “I’m done, I’m dead.”

In the same week the Penn State academic was arrested, a man in his 40s was arrested in Wiltshire, England for apparently trying to have sex with a tree! Yes, you read that right – a tree. Police were called to Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury, Wiltshire, after alarmed passersby captured footage of the man engaging in this bizarre act:

I was just walking in the park with one of my mates and we saw a man hugging a tree and thought it was interesting. We walked closer and as we did, we saw his trousers down … I started recording and he just started taking off all his clothes and kissing the tree. After I stopped recording, the police turned up and started following the man around then arrested him.

STDs on Steroids

These events follow fast on the heels of the Spanish government’s decriminalization of zoophilia so long as the animal does not require veterinary intervention. According to one source, there may be as many as 100,000 individuals in Germany alone practicing these depraved activities.

Furthermore, you don’t have to look very hard to find some influential academic mouthpiece who won’t condemn it. For example, Peter Singer, a professor of bioethics at Princeton University, said that while he didn’t regard bestiality as “normal or natural,” he didn’t find it necessarily offensive “to our status and dignity of human beings.” According to Singer’s “reasoning,” it’s hypocritical for people who care for the welfare of animals to express outrage for animal-human sex acts, especially when neither are harmed. I am incredulous at the prospect of any academic institution employing or even entertaining such an individual as Singer, who also thinks there’s nothing wrong with killing infants or toddlers up to two years of age because they are not yet “persons,” as far as he is concerned.

Implications

With societal mores rapidly declining worldwide, it’s really only a matter of time before zoophilia becomes yet another “minority group” that will be protected with its own colors sewn into the rainbow flag. Zoophiles will claim that it’s merely an expression of their identity and that we have no right to condemn such acts because it’s just another form of love, and love wins, right? Indeed, in a previous salvo blog, I showcased one such individual who was making such claims.

If zoophilia becomes normalized in the same way pedophilia is being normalized by cultural influencers and international organizations, what are we headed for besides abject moral decay? For one thing, we can expect a raft of new diseases spreading from animals to humans. Some of the so-called zoonoses that are likely to be acquired from sexual contact with animals include gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, brucellosis, tapeworms, roundworms and rabies to name but a few. What’s more, completely novel and deadly pathogens emerging from animal-human sexual relations also cannot be ruled out. These facts alone ought to deter anyone in their right mind from carrying out vile and unnatural acts, but human depravity seemingly has no limits.

These highly disturbing developments are all part of the uncoupling of western society from Judeo-Christian values, where the normal checks and balances have been jettisoned and therefore evil increases. But for Bible-believing Christians, we already know that such degradations don’t end well for humanity, an understanding that flatly contradicts the predominant – and patently false – humanistic worldview in which the world can only get better.

Fundamentally, Christians know we are in a spiritual battle. As St. Paul writes:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

Instead of investing millions of taxpayer dollars on useless “psychological studies” on such behavior, we should call it out for what it is – a wicked and rebellious act carried out in the face of a holy God who long ago declared such activities an abomination (Leviticus 18:23).
