What Abortion Looks Like

Lila Rose, president of the pro-life organization Live Action, has teamed up with former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino to launch a new website—AbortionProcedures.com.

It was borne of Rose's belief that when people are faced with the realities of abortion they'll become pro-life.

There are four animated videos demonstrating each of the four types of abortion:

medical abortion with the use of RU-486, used in the earliest stages of pregnancy

aspiration (suction) abortion, typically used at 6 – 12 weeks

dismemberment (dilation & extraction) abortion, the most commonly used type of abortion during the 2nd trimester

induction abortion with the use of digoxin, used in the 3rd trimester

Dr. Levatino, a practicing obstetrician / gynecologist who performed over 1200 abortions before becoming pro-life narrates each video, describing exactly what's happening.

Despite the fact that the videos are animated and that the narration is strictly matter-of-fact, they are difficult to watch.  Which is precisely the point.

Here is the video of an aspiration (suction) abortion, the most commonly used abortion procedure:
