Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the journalist conducting the interview, confessed that the remark left him speechless – especially since Kevorkian offered the strange and macabre confession without any provocation or lead-up question.

  1. I am tempted to agree with Dr. Death — the worst moment of his life, for all of us, was the moment he came into the world. I’ve long suspected that his death-dealing is really a kind of projected wish-fulfillment, and it looks like I may be right. “What difference does it make if someone is terminal?” he says. “We are all terminal.” His is a very twisted and tormented soul, yet some crumb of it must hold out hope that there is some good to life — I notice he hasn’t killed himself yet! Perhaps, then, it would not be a wasted effort to pray for his conversion.
