Some good posts by Salvo editor James Kushiner over at Mere Comments.
This 44-minute bloggingheads.tv video is good: John McWhorter of Manhattan Institute interviews Michael Behe about evolution. Controversy followed when the interview was pulled, then again when it was put back on. This stuff is dangerous, you see.
Via the Wall Street Journal, a link to another site for Eternal Earth-Bound Pets USA,
where you can sign up (for $110) an atheist who will watch your pet if
the Rapture takes place in the next ten years. “But when the Rapture
comes what’s to become of your loving pets who are left behind? Eternal
Earth-Bound Pets takes that burden off your mind.” In FAQ, it is
claimed that this is no joke, but a serious offer, plus:
Q: How do you ensure your representatives won’t be Raptured.
A: Actually, we don’t ensure it, they do.
Each of our representatives has stated to us in writing that they are
atheists, do not believe in God / Jesus, and that they have blasphemed
in accordance with Mark 3:29, negating any chance of salvation.
But, then again, who wants his dog raised by a blaspheming atheist? Catch 22?
